These gun barrel depth gage rods are made to fit loosely into various barrels providing non obstructive contact. This is accomplished by jacketing a ridged rod in a tight plastic sleeve and placing a tough nylon tip on the contact end. The other end has a soft rubber finger grip. They are quick and reliable, something every Hott-Rod™ should be.

While the rods are designed with industrial materials using several processes, the most important feature is that they are accurate. We pre-gage all scales to within ±.010 per 24 inch (61 cm) graduated length, and before any rod can be shipped we measure the fabricated length with a fractional/metric scale, as certified by a Master Vernier Caliper in compliance with Federal SPEC-GGG-C-111C and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) test #731-241460. Every rod is issued a Letter of Certification with a number that is recorded in a ledger providing a traceable document.
